    “I have many reasons why NSHS has been an amazing fit for my daughter. She was bullied in middle school and then placed in a online home school program.  I was looking for opportunities that would supply various values for my daughter and NSHS provides those for us.

    She has always been one that is focused on her education and getting ahead in life.  Seeing that this school provides an opportunity to get a jump start on her college career was amazing.  It also provides the life skills that are needed that traditional schools no longer provide.  For example budget planning, resume and interview skills, applying for scholarships, being active by volunteering and having the student engage in social events.

    She has excelled in all her classes, found friendships and the staff is beyond caring.  They are willing to give a helping hand and guide the students to the right decisions.  They make themselves available willing and eager to help.

    “When I heard about Nevada State High School, I was excited about what was being offered to students, but at the same time I was extremely worried that my daughter would not have the “high school experience” that traditional high schools offer.  That notwithstanding, my daughter and I decided to proceed with the application process and see where it took her.  When my daughter was accepted, she made the final decision to transfer to NSHS.  Approximately 6 months into her journey with NSHS, I asked her if she made the right decision to attend NSHS.  My daughter said this, “It was the best decision that I have ever made for myself.  The program is tough, but it has pushed me to be a better student and believe in myself.”  NSHS has given my daughter opportunities that no other school has offered to her.  Her academic resume is quite impressive and she has already been accepted to a university.
