The governing body of a charter school is responsible for the school, including overseeing the overall operations and monitoring how well the school is being maintained. The school’s administrators, employees, and contractors serve under the governing body and are subject to governing body rulings. The governing body critically evaluates the performance of school administrators and contractors and replaces those who are not performing duties or providing services in a satisfactory manner.
If parents have concerns or ideas they want to bring to the school, they should express them to NSHS administration. If they believe their needs are not being met by NSHS administration, they have the opportunity to be heard at governing body meetings. These meetings are public, and parents and students are welcome to attend. To be put on the public agenda, they must make a written request by addressing a letter to the Governing Body President detailing their concerns or comments and turning the letter in to the NSHS administrative office.
The governing body can also be reached via email at governingbody@earlycollegenv.com.
