The highly anticipated North Las Vegas Campus is now open for Fall 2022! The North Las Vegas site is Nevada State High School’s ninth location in southern Nevada. Located at 4280 West Craig Road, at the corner of Craig Road and Valley Drive, the North Las Vegas Campus will provide an entirely new region of students with access to free college.
Nevada State High School’s dual-credit model allows 11th and 12th graders to finish high school while getting a real college experience and a head start on their college degrees. The school’s mission is to support students in a college environment with personal, academic, and social skills. The new North Las Vegas location targets underserved students in North Las Vegas with the goal of helping first-generation college students and others who may not be able to afford college on their own.
Dr. John Hawk, Chief Operations Officer at NSHS, said, “We have an early college model that has a proven process for successfully transitioning students to college. I am excited to know that we are saving families time and money on their children’s college education.”
The grand opening of the new Sunrise location is scheduled for Saturday, March 12th from 10AM – 12PM and is open to the public. The event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, a tour of the space, and an opportunity for families to complete applications for Fall 2022.
Mrs. Cristal V. Porter, the Marketing and Engagement Director at NSHS stated, “The new North Las Vegas campus is a beautiful space for learning. It may be my favorite campus thus far. We are excited to have students begin classes there this fall.”
Online registration for the Fall 2022 semester is now open for current sophomores and juniors who are interested in attending next year.
