What college/university are you attending?

I will be attending UNLV.

Did you earn any scholarships?

I’ve earned the Millennium Scholarship, and I’m waiting to hear back about other scholarship opportunities.

What career are you most interested in?

Linguistics, Criminal Justice, and Law Enforcement.

What goals do you have for yourself?

I want to complete my bachelor’s degree and achieve a career that I will not only enjoy, but one that I can excel in. I also want to be able to support my family.

What type of social activities/clubs are you looking to join?

I’m hoping to join clubs that have to do with languages and cultures.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

In 10 years, I see myself as a very successful, hard working woman that achieved her dream job.

How did NSHS guide and prepare you to take on these aspirations?

Without NSHS, I would not have been eligible for the paid summer internship I have this summer — I needed to be a junior in college in order to apply. Without NSHS, I would not have all these amazing opportunities available to me at the age of 18.

What is the biggest lesson you learned while attending NSHS?

NSHS helped me learn how to be responsible, independent, and hard-working. They helped teach me how to be a successful college student and a responsible adult.

What will you miss most about NSHS?

The teachers and staff who helped me through any problems I came across.  For example, whenever I was struggling in a class, they guided me on the path that would help me the most.
