If you’re a student who is taking dual-credit college classes at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN), seeking further assistance can dramatically help you to better understand a subject. Luckily, help is available in a variety of ways to benefit students’ academic performance at all three CSN locations in Southern Nevada!
CSN Website
An easy place to find information regarding additional help offered by CSN is the CSN website. This includes information on who to call, where to find help, and other online resources. Additionally, the website contains a MyCSN Help Center that can assist students with better operating MyCSN. This tool has call center hours of operation from Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Centers for Academic Success
Each CSN location provides a Center for Academic Success. These centers are critical, as their goal is to give valuable assistance to those in need of further academic help. These centers accommodate many educational subjects, such as math, science, reading, writing, and communications. No appointment is needed to visit, and students are provided with a qualified tutor to assist them with their work. Hours for all locations are Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m to 6 p.m and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. They run on a first-come, first-served basis and provide help for an average of about 35 minutes. They are completely free of charge and follow seven principles, which include self-awareness, social integration, active involvement, reflective thinking, personal validation, and a sense of purpose. Specific locations for these services can be found on the CSN website.
CSN Libraries
CSN provides libraries on all campuses to help students find an abundance of books or to help students with research. The libraries all come prepared with computers to work on assignments, internet access, printers, and helpful staff members to assist with any confusion regarding further resources. Plus, these libraries provide additional assistance with an online chat room that allows students to seek help from the comfort of their home! Times vary depending on the campus and are listed below.
