Leadership Training Dissemination

In fall of 2016, Nevada State High School (NSHS) received a dissemination subgrant from the Nevada Department of Education and reached out to educational leaders across the state of Nevada to offer training on developing clearly defined mission and data tracking techniques to measure and report on student achievement and targeted interventions. During the 2016 – 2017 school year, 36 participants attended the training’s and gave an average satisfaction score of 9.68 out of 10. Additionally, 75% of the participants requested the services of Nevada State High School to facilitate onsite training to produce a vision framework with their staff. Nevada State High School completed these four-hour vision building workshops with two schools serving 35 participants. The envisioned future and core ideology (Collins and Porras, 1996) are the building blocks to Nevada State High School’s strategic framework.
